With a solid background spanning over two decades in aviation management, Roland’s core competencies lie in operations improvement, capacity planning, and strategic development. At Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER), his mission is to enhance operational efficiency and passenger experience through innovative strategies and technologies. His expertise in BI & Analytics and airport systems integration propels the organization’s vision forward, leveraging my diverse experience to strengthen our operational readiness and elevate passenger experience.
Roland leads the BER Operational Readiness and Airport Transfer (ORAT) program provided him with a unique opportunity to collaborate closely with all organizations at the airport and bring the new facility to life. Since January 2024, Roland has led the Operations Planning and Development team, focusing on advancing self-service passenger processing and enhancing airport system efficiencies.
His tenure as Head of Infrastructure and Systems has honed my skills in portfolio management and project delivery, ensuring seamless operational transitions and robust capacity improvements. His team’s commitment to meticulous planning and agile response has been instrumental in Flughafen Berlin Brandenburg’s ambition to become a world-class airport.
