Rachel is NATS’ Sustainable Aviation Consultant on Sustainable Aviation and Chair of their flagship sustainability initiative Green Aviation Insights (GAIN) for ANSPs.
Rachel has extensive experience in the aviation, science, and technology sectors holding senior roles at the UK Civil Aviation Authority, the UK Space Agency, and Connected Places Catapult. She has led transformational programmes focused on enhancing organisational effectiveness and previously chaired the UK Jet Zero Council Zero Emission Flight Delivery Group, focused on the airport infrastructure, technology and regulation required to achieve net zero by 2050.
Rachel is a board member of the British Aviation Group, the leading representative body for British companies involved in airport development and operations. She is also a Director of Aviascia, advising on sustainable aviation and transformation, a Board Advisor to Astroscale, and Chief Sustainability & Growth Officer at EmPower Flight, (a sustainable and innovative aviation training provider). Rachel serves on the Board of the world’s largest air humanitarian charity and as a Chartered Mathematician and a Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society, previously held a commercial pilot licence and was awarded an OBE in the King’s Birthday Honours for services to aviation.
