With a career anchored in Airport Management, Etienne has honed a sharp acumen for Readiness & Excellence, (Digital) Transformation Program Leadership, Stakeholder Engagement, Senior Expert and Business Development roles.
After advising on the Operations Excellence program at Dubai Airports in 2024, now leads Operational Readiness & Excellence at MATARAT Holding. This role leverages his expertise in airport wide Portfolio Management of delivery of improvement programs and projects, from concept to handover, in partnership with diverse internal and external stakeholders, in complex political multi-stakeholder environments.
Prior to these challenging roles in the Middle East , his consultancy and business development experience enriched his skill set with comprehensive market assessments and specialist sales in Airport (Management) Systems at the global market leader in this domain, SITA, and spreading best practices across the globe for the last 10 years.
Etienne started his career with 17 years in the management development program of Royal Schiphol Group, one of the leading airports operators in the world, mainly spend at Europe’s leading hub Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. Held various leading roles, from Ops to Planning & Strategy, International Policy at ACI Europe, and from Technical to Sustainability – Airport Carbon Accreditation, which provided me with a unique hands-on experience, results that speak for themselves and extensive training on the job.
Having worked for both airport operators and system providers, as well as independent consultant, Etienne gained very valuable perspectives. His dedication extends to crafting digitalization and sustainability strategies within the aviation sector. These competencies are instrumental in his mission to elevate airport operations to new heights of efficiency and innovation, while fostering strong collaborative relationships with industry partners.
In his spare time he picked up diving in the azure blue Arabian waters.
