Aletta von Massenbach holds a degree in law and a postgraduate degree in general management. She was appointed CFO of Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER) in September 2020 and took over as CEO in October 2021. She also currently serves as President of the German Airport Association (ADV), as a member of the German Aviation Association’s (BDL) Steering Committee, and as First Vice President of the Airports Council International Europe (ACI Europe).
Prior to joining BER, she spent 24 years at Fraport, where she served as CEO of the airports in Varna and Burgas (Bulgaria), as well as Antalya Airport in Turkey. During her tenure at Fraport, she was responsible for the evaluation, acquisition, management, and development of international airport investments. Most recently, as Senior Vice President, she led Fraport’s international investment portfolio, overseeing 30 airports in ten countries.
